In late 2009 The Colony Convention & Visitors Bureau hired Red Spot Design to help design a new website that would be informational and visually appealing to the tourism market. We wanted to showcase all of the hotels, restaurants and attractions that are available right here in The Colony, Texas and to help visitors make a decision that this is a destination worth experiencing. That completed original website took a first place award at the Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus annual conference.

Since then, the use of smart phones and tablets with travelers necessitated the need to make the site mobile friendly. So we returned to David Russell of Red Spot Design and together we created an even more informative, visually appealing, and easy to navigate redesigned site. We entered the site into the 2014 TACVB competition and once again have been awarded a first place designation in our budget category.
